President Margaret welcomed 55 members and 3 visitors. She thanked Frances Pick for the lovely arrangement of autumn leaves and berries. Keep Fit are our hostesses tonight.
On the tables were kits for all members attending to make small ribbon wreaths as Xmas tree decorations to complement the raggy wreaths from the Chesil Bank group event which were on display.
RECORD OF previous MEETING

3) Iris would like people’s money for the Haskins and Street trips.
4) to sign up on Iris’ notice board by 25th Nov for tickets to attend the NFWI annual meeting at the BIC next June. MATTERS ARISING
- We have a new hall cleaner, who will clean the hall on Monday mornings 9.30 -11.30am.
- Toilet Twinning. The meeting was asked to vote on a choice of locations for our twinning: Nepal (18 votes); Malawi (15) and Afghanistan (12).
- Several members had been to the DFWI annual meeting in Poole. Margaret gave a brief report. There is a full report on the Facebook page.
- The Games night was a lot of fun but barely covered the costs. It needs at least 30 people to break even. The members were asked to vote on whether this should be an annual or bi-annual event. The majority voted to keep it annually. We may review the date of this event as there are always a lot of events at that time.
- There is now a bag (white with red detailing) for members to put any spare bras. These will go to assist with research into breast cancer at Southampton University. Mairi Lingerie in Antelope Walk, Dorchester is acting as a collection centre for the bras.
- Members were asked that if they left things in the committee room to tell the person there are intended for that the items are there. Also it would be helpful if you could leave a note in/on the items to say what they are intended for, e.g. Bric-a-Brac.
