Bob Ford is a well-known local wildlife expert who leads nature rambles around Portland. He will regale us with lively tales of some of his favourite flora and fauna. Think you know all about Portland wildlife or will there be surprises in store?

Catherine Nix of 'My Scented Home' is with us all the way from Corfe and will be making some of her gorgeous floral wreaths.
12 December - Not so Strictly!
It's nearly Christmas so we're in the mood to celebrate. Get those feet tapping as our own Folk Dancers lead us a merry dance! We give it a 'Seven'!
9 January - Handbags of Glamour!
Sarah Delves from 'Bags of Glamour' brings us an unexpected treat along with just some of her collection of historical and, of course, glamorous handbags.
13 February - Shire Hall History
The renovation, restoration and bringing to life of Dorchester's Shire Hall is out topic this evening. Ann Brown joins us to share some insights into the history and development of this important historical building.
12 March - International Women's Day
This was on 8 March but we can't let it pass without doing something to mark the date. More details nearer the time.
9 April - Annual Meeting
Once again it's time to take stock of where we are as a WI. We'll hear about the work of the committee and the exploits of all our interest groups over the year. And, of course, it's time to elect the new committee and president.

DFWI will have a Tea Tent at this event and are looking for volunteers to help for a day or to bake cakes. If you can help, please let us know.
31 July - County Quiz Round 1
To be held in our WI Hall at 2pm - and there will be cake!
It's great fun and you don't have to submit your entry to go forward to the next round if you don't want to.
19 September - Programme Planning
Come along at 10am to put forward your ideas and suggestions for our activities and speakers for 2020-2021. Yes, it does seem early but we need to book speakers well in advance and create a balanced programme for all our members to enjoy and take part in.
8 and 9 October - Autumn Concerts
All welcome! 7:30pm; tickets £3.
Get set for a wonderful evening as our talented choir present their latest accomplished offerings of music and entertainment. Tea/coffee and biscuits in the interval.
17 October - DFWI Annual Meeting
Dorset Federation's Annual Meeting at the Lighthouse in Poole. Details of the speakers and other topics will be available nearer the date, but it's always a lively and interesting day. Tickets from the Secretary.
23 October - Games Night
An evening of games and quizzes and Fish and Chips! Come along and enjoy yourself at 7pm.
21 November - Autumn Fayre
Our annual event with various stalls and food from 10:30am - 1pm.
1 December - Wyke Regis Fayre in the Square
We'll be there!
5 December - Christmas Tea
Come along and join our invited guests for tea and entertainment.
10 and 11 December - Winter Concerts
All welcome! 7:30pm; tickets £3.
